Double Herringbone Chain Necklace gold

I bought this necklace and separated the chains so I'd have two necklaces.
The gold plating is bright but it doesn't look fake. Maybe it's more like brass than gold. The plating didn't make in into the cracks of the lobster clasp though. It might not be solid gold jewelry, but it's not cheap quality either. The happy middle.
Overall, it's shiny, solid feeling, sturdy. I'm happy, especially for the price.
